Yes, Miriam Bryant always got her own touch, when she covers songs! I love her voice and inventiveness! ❤️🙌🏻❤️ Miriam has three mother tongues: Swedish, Finnish and English. She was first released in 2012, when she was 21. In 2015 she participated in ’ Så mycket bättre’ on TV. ( Translating: ’ So much better’) There were 6 artists in that show. Every artist was a host/hostess for a day each. The other artists then interpreted songs from the host/hostess. The oldest participant was Sven-Bertil Taube, who at the time was 80 years of age. Sven-Bertil was the son of Evert Taube, who is a national treasure in Sweden. Evert Taube wrote about 310 folksongs. Many, many of them the Swedish people know by heart. Sven-Bertil often sang his father’s songs. But he also sang other folksongs, like this one that originates from the 17th century. ( Scottish) The Swedish lyrics were written by Lars Forssell, a well-known Swedish author and member of The Swedish Academy. Sven-Bertil sang this in the 1980s. Miriam was the youngest participant in ’Så mycket bättre’. Sven-Bertil and Miriam became very, very close friends during the week. It was moving to watch! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ She taught him modern music and he taught her old folksongs. The day Sven-Bertil was host, Miriam chose to sing and interpret this song! She did it most vibey and modern. Sven-Bertil loved it! 🥰🥰 They sang duets in the program too. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER!!! Miriam’s version of this song made her extremely popular after this program! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She is a extremely good singer and got her own id! In 2023 she recieved a prize for one of her albums. The song is a Scottish folk song from the 17th century. The swedish translation is made by a swedish poet, Lars Forsell. The song was performed by Sven Bertil Taube. His father Evert Taube was one of the great swedish composer and troubadour. Miriam Bryant performed the song on a tv show "Så mycket bättre" (So much better). Artist s interpreters and perform each others songs.

I think that the Swedish national music scene is really really good. The only thing stopping a lot of artists from international fame is that internationella people dont listen to songs in Swedish.
