“You’d swear you were in a luxury Car” because it is, despite the misconception that only Germans make Luxury cars, the French have made some lovely cars, especially coupes. I owned a 2010 Laguna Coupe and always had people come up to me asking what it was. Some even compared its styling to an Aston Martin (a stretch obviously, but it was a lovely looking car) The Started motor failed but other than that it was perfect for 6 years of my ownership. 4 wheel steering and a silky smooth v6, Bose stereo, heated electric leather etc I think it’s a UK thing, it needs to be BMW or Merc, which ironically have been some of the worst cars I’ve owned over the years

Nerd time, the windows are not double glazed, they are laminated, (like a windscreen), most cars non-windscreen glass is simple toughened and shatters on hard body impact. This lamination adds a level of security and acoustic enhancement as the interlayer has acoustic reduction properties coupled with the fact that there is more glass by volume / weight and the additional glass mass absorbs more noise. The 'misting' you described is actually the (plastic) laminate interlayer starting to de-laminate from the two glass panes as a result of the glass edge becoming 'damp', in simple terms water reacts with the plastic interlayer with the outcome you see. It will inevitably slowly increase in area over time, it is likely that there was a slight manufacturing error in the lamination process which has led to preferential 'attack' at that location.

Very underrated car, you found a very good example even with high mileage. Its funny how British always talk all the worst about French cars and don't want to admit it that the French can make good and reliable cars. ( Not all) :D It's worth that money all day.

I used to have a Peugeot 207, it was an excellent car, I'd buy Peugeot again. The UK market is definitely biased towards German, if you want to be 'seen' you buy German. If you just want a car that is reliable and gets you from A to B and doesn't cost loads to insure, buy French, Japanese or Korean 😊

My Citroen C5 with the same 3.0 HDI just clocked over 200.000 km. Did over 50.000 km in last two years. Went to Switzerland, Italy, Austria... No major issues. This engines need regular oil changes, and they don't like to be pushed over 4000 rpm for longer period od time - the crank can snap then.

Honestly, Matt; you've got two ideal customers for that car. A young man just starting out with his first real job after graduating from University, and money is a bit tight. Or, a very recently divorced older man who is paying alimony and child support. But wants to recapture a bit of his youth with a lovely coupe, and money is a bit tight. Doubt you'll have too much trouble selling it, even without a warranty.

Although I've always been more a fan of small cars (blame the Italian Job and the Mini Cooper) I have always had a soft spot for big French cars. The 407 Coupe was definitely the difficult second album given it followed the gorgeous 406 but it still has something about it... Hope you find the long-awaited Citroen C6 for the channel soon, its a car I've lusted after too, like a millennial version of the classic CX

Bloody great car Matt. But switchgear awkward on the doors. The doors themselves are awkward so I always took 2 parking spaces 😂❤ 3.0L V6 is so sought after. Can't believe you got that for only £900. I had a 407 Coupe with the 2.2 petrol. Eventually put an LPG Prins kit on it and Hankook Ventus Evo II. It was such a f**king lovely car to commute 70 miles each way 5 days a week on twisties and motorway. Lovely wide stance, really good on snow and ice surprisingly. VERY hard on suspension parts as its a heavy yoke. I reckon its a far nicer car than the 406 Coupé because, let's face it, you're inside the bloody thing; not sat outside it. A bloody great car. Mine went to 170k miles before hewd gasket blew. Oil to coolant unfortunately. Plenty of poke in 3rd and 4th in the standard 2.2 petrol. The 3.0 V6 is a monster and will attract the right buyer (if you export it to Ireland and sell it to me for a bargain 😂😂😂 )
