Seems like a pretty confident Space Harrier ripoff for PC-88. Except the flickering, everything moves rather fluidly, (aside from boss fights) I also like that you have a health bar in this game rather than the one hit deaths from Space Harrier.

Well, the flickering isn't that noticeable when you play it. Also it would've been either the flickering or no flickering and worse framerates. Yeah, it's nice that you have a health bar but you also have only one life and no continues.

First notes and instruments of title tune remind me of F-28 Retaliator theme (PC DOS).

I don't recognize the tune, but I feel like the "feel" is trying to imitate Space Harrier's feeling.

To be fair, it would've been either the flickering or worse framerates. Also if you play it, you don't really notice the flickering as you are to busy shooting/evading enemies/obstacles.
