thing is people say his friends try to hold him back (Troy) when they just witness how he start to act making promises he didn't hold treating his friends like they were nothing and they call him out about it.. but for some people they are the vilains when actually i'd rather having friends that call me out when they see that i'm not acting right then friends who let slide those type of behaviors same for Gabriella she didn't like the way he was.. try to talk to him aboutt it he didn't really hear her and she left him bc she start thinking she was holding him back .. but she's also the vilain and Sharpay is the good one when she was just trying to break them appart (Gabriella and Troy) and only think about her when (she "helped"troy)

Yeah sharpay was wrong in a lot of instances, but she was helping out Troy to get into college and she just wanted him to sing with her. And Gabriella's and Troy's friends were the ones instigating. Their relationship was so fragile that it broke up immediately when their friends influenced them AGAIN. I mean, it was just singing with her, but they are acting as if was doing her. Also, they are really bad friends for not understanding that he's trying to get into college. And sorry but Vanessa can't act. Her whole thing is just being the nice girl who just awkwardly stands around smiling and has no personality. Just my opinion lol😂. I just feel like because Sharpay can be annoying and mean at times, that everyone else who's perceived as nicer than her gets a free pass to be as confrontational as they want and it's ok? They literally make no attempt to be her friend and shun her as a collective and every movie Sharpay has to step up and be the bigger person. And Gabriella is secretly a mean girl I think. Like, did she really care about the talent show or was it just another case of moving in on Sharpays territory to prove something? That's all Sharpay really has and she actually cares about it even if she can be a bitch from time to time.

Honestly I will always stand by troy’s friends sucked. Yes Troy was an asshole with the burger but literally Troy got them all jobs and they complain the whole time. Also Troy was trying to work towards his future and his friends are like wow Troy sucks. Gabriella is the only person I agree with when it comes to her conflict with Troy.

Well at the beginning they were complaining and Troy agreed but said “we can work this out” and yeah he’s looking at his future and trying to get a scholarship but keep in mind it was chad, zeeke, and Jason who wanted the same kind of future and Troy didn’t mention them or anything “remember when we were all on a team” so he disregarded his friends and teammates who helped him and got him that championship
