She’s spitting out the bitter truth, parents should try and listen to the children and know what they are good at and what they want to be in future and not to push them into what they want instead

Gosh how old is this girl? She sounds so deep. I am touched by her story. I think the TVET educational concept is not well explained to the kids at the JHS level for them to have full appreciation of what it offers. It's a place for kids who are not academically endowed. It's also part of the Free SHS policy. Because most parents too are uninformed about that educational curriculum that's why they force their kids to attend the normal SHS we all know about. Gosh I have forwarded this very episode of your project to one of the deputy ministers to watch. I will get back to him later and see what could be done to help you. Kindly get in touch with me. I want to send Emmanuella and your good self my widows might.

Excellent. You took the wind out of my sail. The learners meet the school counselors at SHS far too late. More so, at that level the heads of institutions refuse to change programs because they say the learners have been placed. The problem is JHS

Exactly that the mistake most of our parents do, they don't know exactly what their children want to become in the future, but what they want to choose for them, this is the reason why Africa is like that, let's live our children to choose what they want to do,

High school (TVET) education is very important. It prepares the child to reasonably be responsible in whatever will be entrusted into their hands. Lets not make mistake, there are many people who passed their exams but not educated. Lets encourage children to go to and get educated in whatever they want to do. There are many artisans supposed to have acquired skills in their trade but are not yet working and messing up. Education should be holistic and ought to compulsory at the high school level.

Well educational programs however I would like to share my personal opinion on when the topic is being discussed kindly use our local language for such programs since is meant for parents and not all people will get the message well so if only you can let try also use our local language. Thanks

The issue is that they learn the book - and no practical aspect is what they are lacking- book and practicals can bring the best in them
@jonathank.semetey11982 ай бұрын
What the lady is saying is true but the fact is that any one who completes SHS and gets into any trade, he/she is a better master in that trade than the a counterpart without SHS qualification in the same trade. Let's see SHS as the completion point for basic school,period. On the other hand,there is TVET. Those are not confortable with core academic work, they can shift to that.
