He might not have a belt yet but to me Kingston epitomizes the term "people's champion." No one is more real in the wrestling business than him. The article he wrote on his struggles with mental health was so inspiring. You can't help but love him. Plus his in-ring work looks as real as real gets.

Who knew? It reflects well on both of them. Both of them wrestled in a lot of places before they made their way to AEW. Since for the most part, I think they wrestled for different Promotions in North America, I doubt that their path had crossed too often over the years.

Awesome interview and an insight into two serious workers back when AEW was not even a dream. Interesting insights not just into both men (and shows Eddie consistency in how he talks about his past); especially interesting to hear Ethan talk about his journey. Both these men are workers, and worked their way into AEW. 22:19 the mention of Santana and Ortiz is interesting. 28:05 the shoulder injury story is epic; so interesting to see Ethan’s natural niceness, but ‘you’re a mark’ is awesome. 31:07 the story of Eddie’s dad is awesome; ‘you guys are twins’. ‘When you die you are the only one in that casket...’ what a thing to say to a 12 year old. 34:50 Id love to see Eddie in a bar. 47:31 that poor Toby Durst kid... Ethan’s face in that exchange is priceless. And you can see the bias of their friendship. Both men are very different but very honest. It’s awesome to see and funny also... 49:31: ‘Dude, you are a fuking squirrel...’ I lost it! 51:53 Eddie makes Excalibur (off camera) lose it and I think leads to the PWG stuff at 52:23 57:41 Eddie’s story leading to his Jim Cornette impression was magic. 1:03:25 and then Excalibur joins them and it’s like sitting backstage listening to guys just shot the breeze... awesome. 1:07:13 Ethan says a forbidden name... I’m laughing so hard! Curious as to who it was... Eddie’s ‘ANYWAY’ was priceless. 1:10:24 Holy crap! I’d love to have been in that room. 1:12:57 The Gig Story... just priceless. ‘This Slytherin mothafucka...’ And the story starts getting better and better; Excalibur and Eddie tipping Ethan apart verbally. ‘Like a child...’. 1:18:18 that Homicide story... This was a joy to watch.

Wrestler myself.. weekend warrior.. 7 years or so... I have bipolar... Eddie kingston is a great guy... hes no gimmick.. dude is crazy real in a kayfabe world... I love Chris jericho but he made Chris look like a green horn. You had the superficial appearance of Chris's verbiage compared to Eddie. Secondly I'm Canadian by birth..living in the UK... Here we have the Melt Generation In the locker rooms. You've got high spot fiends ...young bucks..omega etc. Its not that its not about splendid moments and big spots but these people are structured around 3 small sequences and 12345 high spots that never get digested by the nose bleeds...I promise you... the bucks do a triple somersault piledriver off the apron after a bump off the ladder that nobody sells... the nose bleed fans won't remember one or the other spot . Because its too busy in the ring... Like a poured bottle of wine... let it breathe... Just my thoughts...
