On an NIL panel I listened to Ben Chase has said the focus of his job is to find NIL deals for players so that they can legally exceed the salary cap. The NCAA cannot punish kids for taking brand deals but they can punish schools for directly paying kids above the cap.

You can’t get every elite player that puts their name in the portal! You will run off the players you already have. You just need depth pieces for players that went pro or recovering from injury
