Highway 160 East • Cortez to Durango Colorado

Driving on Highway 160 eastbound from Cortez Colorado to Durango Colorado. Most of the footage is recorded from 20 miles west of Durango driving all the into Durango city limits.
Average elevation: 7500 feet.

I miss this drive we used to take when we moved to Cortez Colorado. The first year of pastoring in Colorado, my wife and I lived in Cortez and drove to work at Mercy Hospital in Durango. With our schedules, after that first year, we moved to Durango to be closer to work, but continued to pastor in Cortez. This drive back and forth between 45 minutes to an hour was so beautiful and therapeutic. We had to move back to Huntsville, Alabama in April 2023. But, we will always love and cherish the wonderful memories we had in our 5 years in Colorado, and the drive between Cortez and Durango is one of them.
