I kept thinking it was stockholm syndrome, yet something in me told me it wasn't. its not just mahavir's honesty that veera craved, it was the desire to be free and alive. to live life imperfectly, away from the chaos and pollution, pollution not just caused by buildings and smokes, pollution due to the pretenses humans wear, the disguises they embrace. mahavir, on the other hand, was already done with life. he was tortured throughout his childhood, watching his mother's hardwork go unnoticed. what he found in veera was the illusion of his mother, the warmth a mother brings. i truly am shocked how imtiaz ali managed to portray everything so perfectly. thank you for your review as well.

Lovely Movie... Could relate with the protagonist and her emotions on many levels. Very well portrayed. It is tough to get rid of a toxic family and the society for women. This story speaks of the elite rich family. The actual reality is worse in the middle class where the societal compulsions are more and the chase never ends. A girl from Middle-class background can't have the relaxed climax as shown in the end. She has to run pillar to post just to have a secured life with no intervention of the toxic family and society. And the chase never ends...

Culprits can be hated easily but they are the ones who need the most kindness. Only if Mahabir received the kindness, the love he kept weeping for before. He would have been a totally different person. He wasn't even a bad person as he always regretted what he did. He was involved in 3 murders and dacoity but never involved in trafficking which he thought ge would do now. But fate had different plans❤. He always regretted what he became amd desparetely wanted to change for good. Unfortunately, no one helped him back then and he was shot the moment he wanted to change. He healed her inner child and she healed his❤ he recieved love before he could say goodbye to the cruel world. But.... In my mind, Mahavir is not dead. There can easily be a highway-2 where the police officer must have lied for his own reasons and mahavir comes back to his Veera❤ in their home above the clouds and clouts in Himachal ❤

I was recommend this movie by brother few years back, initially i didn't get ready to watch this movie thinking it as boring. But one day i watched since that i have watched it multiple times. Falling in love with kidnapper, ways, mountains, music when she fled those scenes and the emotions all i feel the way i can't explain. Best performance by Alia bhat❤

Must Watch Bollywood movie. Alia and Randeep's exceptional performance, direction, location, songs, and dialogues, connect with the audience. Everything is just perfect.
