That reminds me of a time in my youth when a scene for Cannon, an early 1970s 'cop show' was shot at the end of my street. Actor William Conrad got into and out of a new Lincoln several times (reshoots) and was sweating profusely. I don't know if I felt worse for him or the car, though, as that brand new Lincoln seemed to dive to the bottom of its springs when he threw himself into it and sprung back with relief as he heaved himself out.

he has, in my zone the local"carabinieri" (italian militar police) transmit to their cars via radio by a tower they have on hq top, they cover at least 30 km from the transmitter, atleast to the end of their jurisdiction and we have mountains too, i guess distances in USA are bigger but they sure used a net of multiple antennas to broadcast The police radios always work, even were cellular line or gps cant work, is built to be always efficient

This episode is completely nuts! Mathews, by himself, puts two known dangerous & desperate crims in the back of his car. He doesn't even handcuff them. Highway Patrol shows always have a pretty girl as one of the crims - must be for eye candy for any dads watching with their young son. A rarity in real life back in the 1950's. The USA must be a funny place. A cop went hunting with a rifle on private property within sight of a farmhouse, without first checking with the residents. Harvesting the pot was weird. How times have changed. Nobody seems to care about marijuana now. Not the cops. Amphetamines are a much bigger problem for them - pot is a sedative, makes people harmless. Amphetamines make people violent.

+David Maslow It looked more like turnips, squash, and mint leaves. Cannabis has an odd amount of leaflets per leaf such as 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13. That which was pulled out of the resident officer's pocket was a single leaf.
