The 50s were a real drag.The Lord looked down upon his people and said,"they are squared up down there ,I think i'm gonna send em some LSD."Thus,the sex,drugs and rock and roll of the 60s and the right wing has never forgiven us .thats why you have Satan incarnate in office.

V8 Cars with fins and big trunks, revenge ridden high heeled dame in skirts with her hair, up, gloves, no doubt full lingerie, pent up needs........, an escaped con, a Buick Interceptor with big black tires, politely addressed written threats, a shootout finale with guns a blazin'. I owned one of the cars the cop is driving.There was a really rich guy that lived on my street and he and his wife liked me and gave me the car,it was almost new.I was only 17 at the time.They didn’t have any kids.I kept it for almost 15 years ,stored it when I was in Vietnam.If you have ever wondered what it’s like to own a new car when you were a kid without having to make any car payments,it was GREAT.

That mobster, I mean mobess, she really knows how to drive the '59 Plymouth Shark Fin. Great job of parking. Backing up was perfect, knows how to handle that big old steering wheel, without power assist and great at closing that trunk. Not many female drivers like that anymore. Makes me appreciate my mother. She learned on a '59 Ford Fairlane, 3 on the tree and no power steering, or brakes. Drove us kids all over. Don't make them like that anymore. The women, I mean. The cars either.
@DavidSmith-sb2ix

@@DavidSmith-sb2ix Watch Dan muscle his car around when he comes in for a landing or takes off after mobsters unknown. I doubt it's power steering. Do you think they had the budget for options? Of course Plymouth got free advertisement. Mostly Chrysler, fewer Fords. Probably had contracts for each year. Or just the mobsters drove Fords. Family men would buy the Chryslers. Their punk sons wanted the Fords.

Well done HP. The judge was in a lot of TV shows. I couldn't remember where I saw him so I had to look him up at IMDB. He was in so many I couldn't possibly have remembered which one. The man was a prolific character actor. That cute radio dispatch girl was only in this episode and another TV show. There is nothing on the net about her. Desirvee Vieau must have caught the eye of some producer and got hitched. The evil, gorgeous woman who helped the guy escape was in 500 TV shows. Another great performance from Dan Matthews. I like the way he shout orders to his secretary and other cops. Also the way he psychologically outsmart that revengeful widow so she cracked and told where was Baker hiding to shout the judge. Also, even with 2 pistols blazing all over, Baker couldn't outgun Matthews which is , by the way, the fastest gun in the west. And I like the way Matthews always keep his hat in office. He's really the boss. Solid performance again from Broderick Crawford. P.S.: We need a man like that in White House.

@NPCs Can’t Laugh I had a 1956 Buick, had the 2 speed dynoflo transmission it was far from a high performance transmission. They did have a 3 speed manual transmission as well. I had a 1966 Buick Electra 225 401 nailhead and turbo 400 transmission (3 speed) that was a much better transmission.

Dan was so good but real badass. So brusque and curt with everybody. Again the support actors realty good. The dispatcher was a bit severe but really nice. Dan so short with her. Never please nor thanks. Grabbed the mic out her hand. The other bad actress really good too. Dan never takes his hat off when he goes into someone’s house. Especially the judge’s. @@JeffDeWitt As to the Feds, Miranda rights were imposed in 1913. The Surpreme Court refused to impose it on the states, deciding each state should try its own way to correct the Constitutional problems protected by Miranda including making sure Defendants would have access to attorneys and know they had the right to be silent. Most states that addressed the problems ended up adopting the Rule the Supreme Court had imposed on Feds in 1913. The British even adopted the rule sometime post WWII. In Miranda the Supreme Court notice many states had adopted the rule for their states and finally extended it to all states.
@JeffDeWitt
@JeffDeWitt 5 жыл бұрын
@@paulmentzer7658 California must have adopted it sometime in the late 60's. They don't read anyone their rights on the Dragnet radio show, but on the later TV shows they do, and that is something Jack Webb would have made sure they got right.

@@JeffDeWitt In the Saint movies of the 1930s when dealing with British Police, what we call Miranda warnings were given, thus it appears to be post WWI not WWII for Britain. As to California, I suspect late 1950s or early 1960s, for such warnings are not given in the Black and White Dragnet of the early to mid 1950s, but given in the Color Dragnets of the mid to late 1960s.
