Yeah, the cleaners is still open and that station is a museum now. The blond is character actress Eva Brent who had a long working career. Regina Gleason is a stunner. The actor playing the hit man nails it. And Dan Matthews is very smart here.

9:34 Another thing you don't see anymore is the metal foil tape on the glass doors of the dry cleaners. That was the burglar alarm sensor that carried a current that would be broken if the glass was broken after hours. I remember as a kid every storefront had them on the doors and glass windows.

Fortunately I'm not old enough to remember rental cars from that era. Must have been very different from now. Highway Patrol is in '57 Mercurys, and here is a '54 Ford, a convertible with a Continental kit spare tire?? This is out in the sticks. That is no fleet car. Hertz did offer Shelby Mustangs in the mid '60s, and I remember in the '80s a company called Rent-a-Wreck offering a pretty motley fleet.

@@alphonsozorro7952 Ah! But....most old buses did have mirrors inside the bus. The mirrors were to allow the driver to keep an eye on the passengers. In this case, the mirror was removed to avoid reflections appearing on camera.

He had an worn-out heart; so much for "young". Unless congenital, rarely young men in their 20's or 30's die of heart failure. It's a typical middle-age (40's) or older age (50's) disease.

I guess it was common back then to be able to flag down a local bus without being at a scheduled bus stop, but its virtually unheard of now. Strange how that guy didn’t even look back right before he flagged down that bus, cause if he had he would have noticed big burly Dan Matthews standing beside his squad car and another ending would have had to have been written. Good episode however, only in real life the Chatsworth police and not the State HWP would have handled that case.
