It reminded me of the Prodigal Son the ending he wasn't quite right cuz the word of God says believe in Jesus Christ and if you believe and you ask God for giveness in Jesus there's only one way to get to heaven and that's through Christ John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him shall have everlasting life we don't get to Heaven just being nice. In the Prodigal Son, the Father kept vigil waiting for the son to return then ran to meet him then threw a party to welcome him home. I"m pretty sure if the son had come back wagging a bunch of kids behind him, the father would have embraced each one of them then killed the appropriate number of fatted calves. To compare this jerk to the father in the prodigal son is a dis-service to the lesson the story is trying to teach. well she had been psychologically tortured by the husband for 9 years so maybe he brainwashed her not to hug her grandchild if she ever saw her...I'm sure it took huge amounts of courage to come out of the door and see her at all. I feel like she was a prisoner in her own house...because she was like your father is leaving at 9 AM and I will be at the house...when she could have said, lets meet at the bookshop...and she was so desperate for Jonathan and her daughter to take her away from the house and looked very disappointed when her daughter said she has to stay there so they can talk to the dad. So yeah the woman's clearly been under some kind of house arrest for all the years she's been married to this loser who is so controlling and heartless.

They look so healthy in this show. By the end of Season Five, French has lung cancer and dies in 1989. And in 1991, Landon dies of pancreatic cancer. Isn't it odd that both of them died so close together and from cancer?

My sister died of it and never took an illegal drug in her life; in fact the only legal drug she ever took was antibiotic when she had pneumonia when she was very little, and absolutely did not ever drink! I stand by what I say that pancreatic cancer does not seem to be related to any particular behavior. Especially in the case of my sister, she didn't have time to engage in anything that would have caused her cancer - she was one day shy of being 21! As a matter of fact, of the ten suspected causes of pancreatic cancer, no one applied to her!!! John 10:27-28 (NASB) says that God's children know his voice and follow Him. Its possible people are atheist for some time, maybe even going back and forth from believer to non-believer throughout their lives, (like saul - paul) though. We must believe in God to be his child, but it may not be a constant thing. Faith can be a struggle so that's why it's bad to judge an atheist. You can't know if He will hear God's voice one day. Only love will open his/her heart to hear it.
