it took then FOUR YEARS to build one overpass. In Detroit they built 40 kilometers of cemented highway in that time with three overpasses. And they didn't even put an on or off ramp on the one in essex. You can tell they are paid by the hour. Its going to be done by 2050 .. Just kidding it will be done in 2055. We haven't had any bad weather experiences. Someone should be grading the and removing the dirt ahead of time.

Hi Skip. Lol. Doesn't sound like you have much faith in Canada's lightening approval, prep, construct, and complete process. Government red tape in Canada is incredible. And it costs a fortune in time and money. We should be grateful we don't get all the government we pay for. :) Thanks for the comment!

Can't tell you how interesting this is. I drove this road so often when I lived in Cottam and in Kingsville. It is about time this road is upgraded.

There is company on Hwy 3 east of where you filmed, that makes a steel backed roof shingle, and their advertising video shows a guy in California, he pans up to see smoke rising not far away, then pans down to everybody out and hosing the side of their houses down. then i goes black for a second or two, and the view stars up with all the houses gone, burnt to the ground, and he pans around to show the only house in the town that had one of these roofs.

Hwy 3 goes right to Fort Erie, it’s a very important road if you want to detour from major highways

Hi Rob. You are right about that. The real OG of Southern Ontario highways. It was once called the cordury road, because it was built with logs laid one against the other. Bet that was a bumpy ride! :)

Hi Dennis. Further. They are working on the 15 km stretch from Essex to Ruthvan (almost Leamington)
