Ryukishi07 'The Creator' Umineko is negative version of Hanyuu lol. Hanyuu god was declared much in the series, especially in visual novel and in outbreak chapter and God Violating Chapter - a sequel to Outbreak chapter and it is about Hanyuu as well.

Not really no. Can people stop saying theories as if they are fact? The only confirmed witches in the Higurashi series are Frederika Bernkastel (who vanishes and creates the new witch of Miracles Bernkastel afterward) and Lambdadelta who is confirmed as the god who backed Takano and ensured Rika's death in every world. It's "theorized" that Hanyuu is a vessel of Featherine, but Ryukishi has never officially confirmed it and beyond some very obscure hints (like the chipped horn) nothing points to Hanyuu being nothing but yet another piece of the Higurashi world. Even further Ryukishi has constantly mentioned that Higurashi and Umineko should not be mixed together as their themes are incredibly different and the ideas Umineko uses to sustain itself are unsuited for Higurashi. Even the idea of Frederika Bernkastel being a witch was less a "literal" thing and more because of the role Frederika had as the being that contained all of Rika's memories during her hundred years of reincarnations.

LeonGun8 Just as you know, Hanyuu is already a god. Featherine is classified as god of witch or simply opposite side of Hanyuu. But you are right about the two series; the witch are different characters which occur in their origin. But for fans, people sometimes like fantasy and think a story which make two series have a connection. For me, that's normal. Because producers make series sense enough people can refer the relation between the series.

after episode 2 it's already wanting you to know things from season 1 and 2 so i recommend watching them or reading the vn with 07th mod if you really like the story and characters, btw 07th mod has console arcs which are extra arcs and an alternative ending (that is way better than matsuribayashi)
