The chilling effect of this track is fantastic. When the organ kicks in, you get that sinking feeling, and then the vocal cement that that all hope is lost.

This was my favorite song in the whole novel, no other song summed up the culmination of all the questions I had, only to be answered as Takano revealed herself, the mastermind of all the pain that had happened in the past chapters. I can even put it as my favorite song in all the VNs ive read

I agree, This song was used very well in Minagoroshi. It sets the tone for the Yamianu's attack very well!

I thought the kids had defeated fate in Minagoroshi and were going to have a happy ending, but that hope was crushed when Ooishi and Kumagai walked into the Yamainu's trap and this began playing.

Just remember, Rika. Just remember who is true mastermind behind these series of disasters. And then the key to freedom will be in your hands.

I agree. People who say that Takanos just evil and a bitch didn't get the whole half-a-novel-introduction of her life... And that's just sad.
@zachy8889 жыл бұрын
The1saac I always felt bad for her at the end of the last arc, she was seemed powerful and resourceful for the earlier parts and then the end came and she just seemed so pitiful it was sad. I was actually happy she didn't die because I honestly don't think she deserves to die, she just needed help she had been through such a traumatic ordeal as a child and another one having to live at that orphanage, Also she made her Grandfathers life her life and she just kept it bottled up and it kept getting worse and worse until this was the result.

+Zach Snyder That, and the other people that had succumbed to the disease (not that Takano was inflicted, although you could make a case for it…) and committed murder got to live, so why not her?
@BenkaiDebussy8 жыл бұрын
Eh, other characters also had traumatic childhoods and didn't decide to murder thousands of people, so that isn't really an excuse. People not respecting her grandfather's research is sad and all, but for fuck's sake. edit: I mean, there's a reason why Hanyuu acts angry towards Takano instead of kind/forgiving.
@The1saac8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I see your point. Her childhood is not a reason to murder that many people, of course. But it kinda makes it unterstandable, how she was broken by these events.
@voyagerwitch8 жыл бұрын
...i wouldn't think of it as an excuse, but it's heavily implied that takano was disposed of by nomura after the disaster in every world, too. she was just a pawn whose strong emotions nomura manipulated to unknown ends. she didn't even come up with her own plan. not to say that takano did NOTHING WRONG, but it's not fair to say she murdered 2000 people personally. it's more like she was one of a chain of guilty people who killed 2000 people without understanding why for even a moment, leaving the true masterminds with clean hands. and takano, of all of them, happens to have extremely intense untreated ptsd and suicide ideation.

@Milestis well for me it was about both. Tell me you weren't scared in the VN version of Watanagashi-hen during some scenes. Especially the phone call. The insane laughter (text-only but it didn't matter) the random crazy eyes and then THAT SILENCE. Silence that feels louder than any sound.

So spooky. I feel like I'm witnessing a struggle between Heaven and Hell itself, like the end of the world. It reminds me of Paper Mario TTYD's Shadow Queen music.

In that case, you read the patched version. The MangaGamer version replaces with a track called "Operation".

@TheDEATH676 Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. The music is from the Visual Novel, not the anime though. Higurashi is a psycological horror anime. Once you start watching it, you will either lose sleep because of the horror and gore, or because you desperately want to know what's happening next. It is also well known for being happy one moment then deadly serious the next.
