A compromise could be that he can keep it the length it is now for a month, and if in that month he doesn’t maintain it, he’ll have to get it cut. And they’ll continue to cut his hair if he doesn’t maintain it, but if he does, he’ll be allowed to keep it the length he chooses. That way, it’ll give him some sense of responsibility and motivation to keep his hair looking nice!

This argument actually just needed to end with a deal. It's not actually have to end up involving others. But I also into him refers to not cutting his hair if he surely take cares of it. They could have think of him showing he taking care his hair for a month because that already enough to make it a routine, and if he does that no need to cut it. Besides if he manage to be discipline at a young age then being older with more long hair won't be a problem because he learns that 'If you decide to choose what you want, always take responsibility, cause there's pros and cons in it'

I'm not really against Kaelon or anything....But I feel like he needs to make he's hair shorter!!! What I mean is, if your just gonna keep it long instead of short, it would be harder to do things! No he needs to cut his hair he is a child he can’t make his own decisions and shouldn’t be able to until he is at least 16 the age where he can start doing more for instance- driving, etc his mother raised him and should still be in control of what he is living like because she is the adult

I think he should cut it but not for the same overly-controlling reasons that you bring up. “She’s the adult” is not a good excuse, it wouldn’t work because that’ll feel restricting to the child. Every person reasonably likes to have freedom, so controlling them will only make them rebel even more and maybe even make them have some resentment towards the adult (and a reasonable parent would want to have a good relationship with their kid). Instead of unnecessarily over-inserting your authority, you should try to be reasonable with your child. A compromise could be that he can keep it the length it is now for a month, and if in that month he doesn’t maintain it, he’ll have to get it cut. And they’ll continue to cut his hair if he doesn’t maintain it, but if he does, he’ll be allowed to keep it the length he chooses. That way, it’ll give him some sense of responsibility and motivation to keep his hair looking nice!
