How do we make any changes we want to any dress pattern? There are many videos on my channel for lengthening, widening, narrowing of the mold, techniques needed to make it suitable for our own body sizes, and measurements. You can check out many videos on my channel :)
You can follow the steps below for dress sewing:
1. First, choose the dress model and make patterns for the dress or use a ready-made pattern.
2. Choose fabric. Choose a fabric suitable for the dress model and take the necessary measurements to cut the fabric.
3. Dresses usually have sections such as body, sleeves and skirt. Create these pieces by cutting.
4. Clean the edges of the cut pieces neatly or overlock them with an overlock machine.
5. First, create the body by sewing the side seams of the body piece.
6. Place the sleeve pieces in accordance with the body, secure them with pins and complete the sleeve stitches.
7. Place the skirt piece on the waist area, secure it with pins and complete the skirt seams.
8. Perform the necessary steps to add details such as zippers or buttons.
9. Finally, check your dress by turning it inside out and make corrections if necessary.
Tailoring a dress can be a demanding job, so if you're inexperienced or would like more help, it may be worth consulting a seamstress. Sewing courses or online sewing videos can also help you.
