Hijacked Buildings | Public Works Department reclaims properties

Over 300 Public Works facilities across the country are unlawfully occupied. Others are abandoned. In Cape Town, the department has received court orders to evict residents from two locations, with plans to refurbish and potentially convert other facilities into social housing. How did the evict? It is the same government that will be on the way of the investors when they try to evict illegal tenants. Did they provide alternative accomodation? If not, can they also allow the private property owners to follow the process they followed to evict?

The government can reclaim and evict however for a normal homeowner or landlord this type of behavior will be against the procedural law which was put in place by the ANC government so as to expropiate property in an unscrupulous manner. It has now come back to bite them.
