These two instruments do not define notes. I've played them both and know they have a spectacular level of malleability. This is a truly beautiful performance and I'm grateful to the musicians

Eine wunderschöne Probe. Danke an diesen talentierten musikern. Meines Wissens, die Hicaz Makam hat Ursprünge zurück in Old Arabic and Bizantinne music . Obwohl Hicaz Makam is very mystic-spirituel Makam, wir Türken haben von diesem wunderschönen Makam nur traurige, schwermütige Lieder komponiert. Hicaz hat noch vieles zu versprechen.

This performance is currently being wrongly linked and attributed to another artist/song on YTMusic, ("Suffer Again" by Chalal Hood, which, funnily enough, is supposed to be about 3 minutes long, whereas this performance is about 8 minutes long). The issue has been communicated with the YTMusic team, and will hopefully be resolved soon. Many blessings to you and yours, again, Maria and Nabil. With love from your biggest fan, and humble acquaintance, here in Missouri, USA, Olive.

very beautiful combination with wonderful musicians. one observation, many instruments have trouble in duet with cello because it is such a powerful dominating instrument. some of the subtlety of the softer oud was lost. it's just so hard to take advantage of the sounds of a cello without it overwhelming everything else. maybe just amping the oud a bit, I don't know. nevertheless, it was chillingly beautiful
