For those who are curious, this song tells a story like that of a fairy tale. Of how the moon desired to have a child of her own but couldn't so she approached a "g***y" Romani woman who was pleading for a man. Both made a deal that she will get her man, if she will have her child that they end up having. The day comes and the woman is born to a cinnamon skined man, and a child is born with grey eyes, white hair and skin an "albino" child of the moon. The husband thinking he was cheated on, kills his wife and abandons the child, where the moon claims him. Within the song it repeats the lines "The moon wishes to be a mother, but you can't find what makes you a woman. Tell me silver moon, what do intend to do with a child of flesh? Ah ah ah, ah aha, Child of the moon" The story ends stating,"on the nights when the moon is full, is because the child is in a good mood, and if the child cries the moon will wane and make him a craddle."

@@SusieLostHerDog OK so the the word "Gypsy" has been used to refer to the Romani people, and antagonise them. It's a very complicated history and entomology historians have the word originating to supposedly mean "Egyptian" thinking that the Roma came from there (they are not), and it was a term used to show distain and distrust. As people would refer the the Roma as undesirable, with dark skin, and untrustworthy as a nomadic people. There are many different definitions, like in the 1600,they are defined as “cunning, deceitful, fickle, or the like.” Think how there are derogatory terms for Jewish, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Creole, Inuit, ect basically anyone that individuals want you to see them see as "other, alien, non human".

The moon did not approach the woman, the woman conjured the moon and she did that until it was dawn : "cuenta la leyenda que una hembra gitana conjuró a la luna hasta el amanecer " and after being conjured the moon decides to propose an agreement: the woman would get the man and the life she's been yearning for but her first child would be ' reserved ' for the moon and so the baby as you explained has unique characteristics similar to the ones of the moon so it is the moon's baby and there's even some parts that imply that after their terrible fate it's implied the baby's soul influences the moon phases " y si el niño llora menguará la luna para hacerle una cuna " .
