The Ladderbucket Falls and John Mountain Falls hike is just one of the many great waterfall hiking options around Lost Corner in the southern Ozarks of Arkansas. For this hike, we teamed up once again with @GezRogers and Super Leeds of Waterfalls in Arkansas and Other Cool Places. Also joined by my good buddy and AR Own Backyard regular, @DavidColclasure . We took the normal route that most people take for this hike which is about a 5 mile out and bike hike, mostly along an old ATV trail. For the hike back, we went to the top of Ladderbucket and bushwhacked up the creek above it and back to the trail. This is tough hike over some steep and rugged terrain. Be sure and watch till the end before setting out on that part of the hike.
For all the details on this hike, including GPS coordinates, Google map, and hike tips, check out our blog post here:

Also, check out the really cool topo video that Gez produced for this hike here: www.relive.cc/....
And if you like that video, you'll love the @GezRogers channel, so go check that out and give him a follow!

We were up in this area last week and missed the falls. We'll use y'all's directions next time. We'd love to hook up with some other bushwhackers some time!

This is a good one and not that hard to get to. A little big of bushwhacking but not too much....unless you go up above the falls. But it's worth it. Thanks for watching!

The Ozarks definitely deserve a lot more love than they get. I subscribed and can't wait to learn about more trails like this for the next time I hit up AR!

@Wilderness-Will , you're right, the Ozarks are a gem for sure! Thanks for the sub and the comment. I have lots of trail info on my website at www.arownbackyard.com, both on the hiking page and in the blog. Lots of good paddling in AR too!

You can also park near here 35.54575, -92.81291 and hike in (or drive farther down that forest road if you have a 4x4).

@aliciarhae Nice! I just plugged those coordinates into GAIA. It looks like a longer hike from that point. But if you can drive all the way to the end of that forest road, definitely shorter. I've never seen anyone talk about starting there. Interesting. Thanks for the comment!

My Gaia showed 5 miles for it, but I preferred that way over the rocky, muddy start the other way. There are still puddles to go around, but a wider path that seemed easier to me.

Ever see any squatch on your hikes? I hear Ozarks and Ouachitas are a hotspot for squatch sightings. I love your channel!

Thank you! I appreciate that! And yes, I have actually seen 3 different sasquatch while out hiking. Verified by their affinity for Jack Links jerky. 😂. That's why I always carry some with me. I thought I had met a 4th. But when he declined the Jack Links, I soon discovered he was just a hairy vagrant hillbilly that got lost near Treat. 😂😂
