The 4K version was jerky. I downgraded this one to 1080P to see if it works smoother. Please let me know if it's any better.
Thank you
Gary Sumner

Thank you Nancy! It was so nice meeting Abby & Jason, such a nice couple, and real lifesavers! I also ran out of water, and Jason gave me some of his.

Thank you Shaun, I'm surprised I haven't heard from Abby yet. She said she'd comment on my video, but maybe they're still up there, miles away from cell service.

Yes, I heard about this place a few months ago and been planning on going there after my 60 year HS reunion in Ventura. It's a pretty awesome series of waterfalls for sure!

Thanks Kev, that was quite a hike for this old man. And it didn't help when I ran out of water halfway back. It was only 70° when I started my hike, but 103° by the time I got back to the car, totally exhausted and dehydrated. I drank half a gallon of water when I made it back to the car. The gash in my leg is about 4" long and very deep. It will take some time to heal. So glad I was able to fly Hope and get some shots of those amazing Teacups!

@@gama45holy crap, Gary. That’s a harrowing tale there. I guess you had no choice but to get the drone up after all you went through to get there. lol. I’m glad you made it back safe though seriously. That could’ve been bad, eh?

@@WeretheRoberts You bet! The main reason for that hike was to get some drone footage of those falls. I wasn't about to leave without doing that! But that's not the end of the story. I ran out of water about halfway back to the car. I still had about a mile to go, mostly up that steep hill, but I was so exhausted and dehydrated, I didn't know if I was going to make it. With all that heat and no shade, I sat down on the ground next to a bush and contemplated activating the SOS button on my SPOT Gen3 satellite tracker to summon rescue. I finally decided to push it and waited there for someone to bring me some water. But no one showed up for over an hour! So I decided to start hiking again and made it back to the car almost an hour later. Then about another hour later, while I was driving down out of the mountains, I saw a fire truck coming up behind me. I pulled over to let them pass since I wasn't familiar with the windy road. But it stopped next to me, and they started asking me how I was feeling and wanted to take my vitals. I said, "Oh, you must be my rescuers." Then the sheriff showed up asking me how I was feeling. He said he'd been looking for me for quite some time. Fortunately, my SPOT tracker was still pinging my location. I told them "I'm fine now, after drinking half a gallon of water I had in my car." After they determined I was OK, they gave me some cold water and hydration drink. The sheriff took my ID and called in to let them know I was OK. It was about another hour before I had any cell service to call home. Boy, did I get an ear full about calls from the satellite tracking company that notified rescue, the fire department, sheriff's department, my son, who also received calls from the sheriff, asking what I was wearing, etc! Then I made the 4 hour drive home after stopping at In-N-Out for a burger. 🥵🥵🥵

@@gama45Gary, all I can say is you need to write a book. I would buy every copy. lol. Seriously though that’s a horrible story but the ending is awesome. In n out burger would definitely make anyone feel a little better. Lol

@@WeretheRoberts And it's not over. I found a voicemail in my phone that was sent 2 minutes after I hit the SOS button on my device, but it didn't come in until hours later, when I received cell service. It was from Focus Point International Rescue, the satellite company that monitors my device. They said they received an SOS from me, and to call them if I need emergency help. Of course, I couldn't call. I didn't even receive their voice mail until hours later. But she said they will proceed to notify my primary emergency contact list and rescue. They also called me again when I was on the phone with Cheryl. I'm happy to know they were responding in a timely manor, after all.
