00:28 Day 3 - From Arguayoda to Valle Gran Rey
La Gomera is the second smallest of the seven main islands of the Canary archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean and an insider tip for hiking enthusiasts. The GR132 leads around the island in ~133km along the coast. The starting point is the capital San Sebastian, from where I walk the GR132 in a clockwise direction. The route leads through many different vegetation zones. Steeply uphill over volcanic rock, through huge ravines (barrancos), over sandy and stony beaches, along mountain slopes and through wonderful forests. Every day you pass at least one of the mostly small settlements. I spent some of the nights there, sometimes outside in a tent.
