Hello Phil, I'm from Corsica, I made the GR20 couple of times and I have to say this is the very best GR20 I ever seen .. I enjoyed it a lot !!! I was also walking on the trail on October 2023 but we didnt meet !! Would have been a great inspiration for me because i'm really a big fan of what you do, going abroad , hike like you do. Really great man ! wish you the best
@philhamann4206 ай бұрын
Hey! Glad you liked it :) thanks for the nice words! Maybe see you on the next trail haha. Hope you enjoyed your GR20 that time as well. And going abroad to hike is probably the cheapest holiday you can do😄

Bist du alles in Barfußschuhen gelaufen? Wenn ja: Mich würden deine Erfahrungen interessieren. :-) Tolle Bilder!
@philhamann420Ай бұрын

Incredible video!!! May i ask which GPS you used which showed wild camping spots etc? Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@philhamann4203 ай бұрын
Hey Heather, glad you enjoyed it! :) Yea, it’s an app called GR20. You’ll find wild camping spots, water sources.. If you have any other questions, let me know. I’m about to film a guide video 😄👍

Amazing video Phil! I'm considering some multi-day hikes this summer. I've never done a solo multi-day hike, so this will be quite the adventure. Can you make a video about how you started doing this and where someone new should start? I live in Germany (moved recently), so a European perspective is helpful.
@philhamann4207 ай бұрын
Thank you! Glad you liked it :) I don't know if I'll be able to make a video in the next weeks but there will be a video about that sooner or later. In my opinion the most helpful skill is to accept every situation radically. This gives you peace of mind in any situation. But it's something people train for a long time (meditation...). Also hiking solo will develop this skill. Of course basic info like needed gear or known tips & tricks should be part of your prep :) The Scandinavian countries are perfect for your first solo multi day trips :)

@philhamann4203 ай бұрын
@philhamann4203 ай бұрын

@philhamann4208 ай бұрын
Hey!

Really nice video 👏 planning on doing the GR20 in September. How many hours a day did you do? And kinda curious about how heavy the backpack was? 🙏👏👏
@philhamann4208 ай бұрын
Thanks Michael! Glad you enjoyed the video :) The amount of hours I hiked are shown in the bottom left corner on the beginning of each day (just skip to the beginning of each chapter :) ). I'd say I'm a pretty fast hiker but had todo a lot 3 times because of the filming. The backpack weight was around 18kg at the beginning (food for 7 days, filming equipment, gas, tent..) Have fun on your hike!👍 If you've got any more questions feel free to reach out :)

Ha Phil, nice video! I gone hike the gr20 oktober2024😊, from south to north. Do you know if there are next to Vizzevona/Corte any other resupply options whitin a daytime walk from the trail? I want to trie stay lightweight😊. Happy to hear from you. Hans from the Netherlands
@philhamann4204 ай бұрын
Hey Hans, nice to hear that you liked it :) And also nice to hear that you will be doing the track as well! Staying lightweight is definitely a good thing on this trail haha. Unfortunately I don't know of any other place to restock food.. hope you can find something :) And all the best for your trip!

Hey Hevi, glad you enjoyed it! :) It seems like more people are interested in a "advice" video :D. I do have some other projects (In 2 weeks I will be filming in the arctic for a bit & a video about Vanuatu needs to be cut), but I guess I will first work on a advice video on the GR20 after the arctic trip. Should be coming out at the end of march/beginning of April :) Have a great day, Phil
