I’m from Vermont and some say “Aunt” and some say Ant. I only had one aunt that I addressed and we all said Ant. That is a good analogy “ants crawl on the ground”

Either pronunciation is correct. The Ant version is listed first in the dictionary for what it’s worth. I’ve heard the Ahnt version used most often in the N. East.

I’ve been asking the same question about myself for years. I think some of us have such strong personalities that we bend the light differently, like stars do. The unusually impacted light causes anomalies in the lens that can’t yet be compensated for by even the most modern image capture technology. I compensate for these anomalies by capturing images from the sternum up. Sometimes awkward, but effective. Now, where did I put that snickers bar?
