Crags Trail is a beautiful, rewarding day hike in Pike-San Isabel National Forest in Colorado. The hike is about 5 miles round trip and remains pretty mellow as it meets with a creek, passes through the woods, and leads into a scenic valley of soft grasses, aspen and some boulders. Eventually, this peaceful stroll turns into quite an ascent through eye catching trees. Then once out of the trees, the ground turns to large rock slabs and the views really open up taking this hike to the next level!
We were now among bristlecone pines and super cool rock formations. And the now vast views exposed breathtaking scenery in every direction. We felt euphoric taking in such beauty. I must say, hiking Crags Trail really exceeded our expectations!
