Dandenong Ranges are located about 30 minutes east of Melbourne, Victoria. It's comprised of rain forest, dry bush, waterfalls and mountains - a diverse terrain despite its small size. This area is well equipped for tourism, and features about 3-4 small towns throughout where you can get fuel, explore niche artisan shops and tasty local restaurants that are local small businesses.

The rain forest areas east of Melbourne are one of the best parts of living here, hands down. I love this area best when the cloudy mists descend into the rain forest through to the tree tops.
