where did you sleep? I am planning for a 3 day trip starting from forbach aswell but wild camping is not allowed.

Hi Lars, I slept in the huts (hütte) which are scattered all across the black forest. It's legal to sleep there for one night. You do have to search for them by hand on the map once you know which trail you are going to hike. Have fun!!
