Hiking Garden Of The Gods (Unreal Views!!!!)

Garden of the gods is located in Colorado Springs Colorado and offers stunning views of red, pink and white sandstone and limestone rock formations that formed over millions of years of upheavals in the earths surface. My brother and I decided to avoid the hordes of tourists and hiked the palmer, buckskin-charley, niobrara and bretag loop trail that afforded us the experience we were looking for.... tranquility and quiet with incredible views of natures finest rock formations. Even if you are not someone who hikes this place is still magical just walking among the rocks and admiring their beauty. If you are looking to experience this park with limited people I would suggest going before 8am and preferably on a weekday.

Love this. I have hiked all over Garden of the Gods in all seasons and it never gets old. From easy trails to the fun climbs. Early morning is definitely a better time to go if you don't like crowds. There are more challenging trails than what was shown here, and you can definitely get your heart rate up. If you really want a challenge, go to the Manitou Incline- It's a beast, but what an accomplishment. I took the Barr Trail down from it and enjoyed everything about it, except for my jelly legs at the end. :) Love this video. It makes me miss home....

How long does the 4 mile loop trail take ?

I do not remember the parking lot but it’s distinct as it’s very large and also where tourist buses can park. Probably the main lot if I was to guess as it also had handicap Access spots with a paved path right into the middle of the garden of the gods.
