Hiking in Hocking Hills State Park in Winter

Weekend getaway with my best friend, and wife of 30 years, in Hocking Hills State Park in southern Ohio. Thanks to our daughter for getting us this trip!

Hocking Hills State Park has over 25 miles of hiking trails, rock formations, waterfalls, and recess caves. Open all year round, conditions can get very icy in the winter. But winter is a special time when the park has only a fraction of the visitors it has in summer. There were many hours we didn't see another living soul on trail.
If you're going in winter, take your crampons/micro-spikes!
