I just commented about this hike on your GTNP video. (I'm binging.) I'm SO glad it has it's own dedicated video. This is up there with rim-to-rim at the Grand Canyon for most difficult but rewarding things I've ever done. Your pictures are way better than mine, though. Thanks!

That is a bold call in saying that this is the most scenic trail. I lived in the park for three months this summer and did all of the hikes in the park including this one. While this hike was incredibly beautiful, I would not classify it in my top five in the park. I recommend the following to anyone who is interested: Hanging Canyon to Lake of the Crags and Rock Of Ages, Delta Lake, Death Canyon-connected with Static Peak or the Shelf, and even the Teton Crest Trail if time allows. All that being said this is a beautiful video and I was not putting your opinion down I just thought I would share my insight as well. Take Care.

Greg, thanks for the feedback. I have not had the chance to do many trails as you did. Usually on statements like this one I would add 'arguably', but in this case it looked like there is a consenus on the web so I used it without the qualifier. I understand that the common opinion does not warrant the truth. Hope to be able to get back to the park to do the ones you recommended :)

The scenery is spectacular, of course. My compliments on your video quality, which is excellent. I enjoyed the steadiness (probably tripos mounted) with nice slow pans and zooms. I've started to watch many videos of the Teton crest trail, but soon stopped because they were obviously taken bouncing down the trail with the camera held on a selfie stick. Those guys should view your video to see how it ought to be done.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed my hiking video! I always prefer static shots for better stability, and this is extremely important when filming in 4K, because you are supposed to watch it from closer distance/wider viewing angle.

I know this, when I was making my picture videos of my vacation & other One Tank Trips. I can never seem to find the right music for several of them. But Other came out surprisingly well. I know I have at least two that the music isn't right but will have to do for now.

depends if you are looking to do hiking, if yes you can spend several days there, if only visiting the viewpoints along the road - 1-2 days could be enough before you head to the close by Yellowstone. For the hike detail search by the name of the hike (see the video description)

Would be good if you get a day or two for accommodation to the altitude before you do the hike, especially if you arrive from sea level. And get ready for rain, just in case :) Would love to do this one again, enjoy :)

Beautiful video. Kudos to you. What is the path way to the scene at 7:19 second or 8:48 second (which seem to be same) . Would you please share how much time would it take to hike there at normal speed?
@milosh9k
@milosh9k 9 жыл бұрын
MrGooglydoodly This is the view descending from the Paimtbrush divide and from Lake Solitude trail to the Grand Teton. Take a look at the detailed description of the video, it lists the trail, you can find maps and descriptions of this hike on the web. The hike is quite strenuous, 12 hours, and given that you climb up to 10,700ft/3,260m.

Wow man this is just beautiful! I missed this one during my trip :( So very well filmed, I'm so jealous :D What king of tripod are you using and how do you manage to rotate your camera so smoothly and at the same speed every time? You def. live in such beautiful country !
@milosh9k
@milosh9k 9 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked the video :) In fact I rarely have the chance to use tripod, especially on the trails. I use software stabilization in Adobe Premiere, but this still requires to hold cam quite steady to get good results, and rotation is also a matter of habit :) Best regards and many great safe trips :)

In my personal opinions, the scenery is great & the music is good, but the music does have a "maudlin" feel to me. I'd have liked something more upbeat.
@milosh9k
@milosh9k 10 жыл бұрын
tree9616 Thank you for the feedback. I see your point. The hard part about the music is that lately I am trying to use only 'Creative Commons Licence' music, which allows free legal use for noncommercial purpose. I was happy to find this music and I liked it, it is very hard to find perfect match, that would be approved by most viewers. Thanks again, best regards :)
