Hiking in Zion NP, Utah: Angels Landing & Virgin Narrows [Amazing Places 4K]

The two most spectacular, and overcrowded :) hikes in Zion National Park, Utah.
I have older videos of these hikes, from November 2011. Recently visited Zion again, and decided to make another video, this time in high quality 4K: The Angels Landing hike (with its amazing vistas) & The Virgin Narrows, hiking in the cold river from the Temple of Sinawava, up the river, pass the Orderville Canyon.
Recorded June 2015 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Did Angel's Landing 5 times about 20 years ago. It is my favorite hike in the world. I am planning to go to Zion National Park next year and plan to do angel's landing again. Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos. Brings back some beautiful memories!!

I did both hikes in 1982 - with maybe 1/10th the people. My best memory of the Narrows: about 4 miles in, I looked down into a foot-deep pool where a bird was calmly walking on the bottom, pecking for food. It was a water Ouzel. I've been to the top of several 14,000+ foot peaks, including technical climbs on Long's Peak in Colorado and in the Sierras. The Angels Landing hike was at times more unnerving than anything I encountered on the big peaks, but equally rewarding. Thank you for the excellent videos!

@@bongbongtravels6108 No, actually, it didn't. I guess it's a personal preference. I think the video would have been greatly enhanced with at least some narration or subtitles. I'm not a fan of extended drone shots with no explanation.

Did both of these on 4th of July weekend. Angels Landing was busy and a little knee trembling at times (I have a fear of heights), but worth it. Caught the first morning shuttle to The Narrows the next day and it was actually quiet and uncrowded for the first 2 hours until we started heading back. I think The Narrows is my favorite hike I've ever done, just so different to anything else - I just loved the peace and tranquility, and also the soft orange ambient light reflecting off the cliffs above (which rarely shows up on camera). I highly recommend it. Actually, I highly recommend Zion in general, it is just an amazing place.

I have an absolutely crippling fear of heights. Just watching this video was hard enough. Lol. But WOW, it definitely looks beautiful. Seeing these kinds of videos in 4K definitely adds to the dramatic effect.

Hands down the coolest 'hike' ever! I road tripped through the West a month or so ago and the Narrows is a MUST for anyone going to Zion! Be prepared for a 5-8 hour hike if you want to get to the end though! When I wemt as well the river was packed with people, so it looks like you got to enjoy the river a bit more! Great video! I've debated putting some road trip pictures and videos on here for some time... you may have just convinced me!

I loved Zion on my trips to USA. Must have walked up Angels Landing 4 times in all, 2 at mid day in the middle of summer which is very hot. Only walked the Narrows once as the river was too wild all other visits I made. It was hard going trying to keep my balance with my expensive DSLR camera around my neck. Was afraid I'd tumble and get it drowned, but thankfully didn't despite the water coming up to chest height in places with some strong eddies. Seems busier than I remember it though. On one trip up Angels Landing I come across someone else from my local town in the UK. None of my still shots seemed to do the place justice however, but this video certainly captures the majesty of it all. Nice slow pans, lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, love Zion too, been there several times. This video is old one, another one in higher quality, shot over two visits and adding two of the best trails in the park: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fna9ZIqvdrqDkK8 The second time in the Narrows the water level was even lower, nowhere up to the chest, but it is funny to see so many people walking in the water as if it were a city street :)

When I hiked Zions back in the 70's their was NO ONE BUT ME! I could go days with out seeing anyone. No trash. No crap everywhere. It was pure Nature. To many people now that don't respect Her
