Amazing stuff, Keith. The music just heightens the captivating scenery. and Yuki looks happy. Was that a bear-spray in her hand?.🙂

No there are no bears around Tokyo. We will probably do that hike again only take the cable car next time. Our legs were still aching a week later.

Good to see some trial of new (2) gear. I just cycled from Okinawa up to Kyoto and used a insta 360, Iphone, sony and drone. Just to much. Keeping it simple I think is the key. As always you've captured some great shots with lighting and mood.

How did you actually travel from Okinawa to the mainland?
@frednerk2127 Жыл бұрын
@@waddo Hey Waddo, I flew into Okinawa on a cheap flight from Kansi, (Peach)spent a month exploring then used the overnight ferry from Naha to Kagoshima. No packing up, just rode up onto the ferry with the motorbikes. The original idea was to island hop back, but the ticket system has changed and arriving in the middle of the night somewhere and trying to find a camp site sorta lost its appeal. Okinawa is fantastic.

@@frednerk2127 We may do the island hopping from Kagoshima to Okinawa next winter, depending on the total cost of the ferries. Never been there before so I am quite keen.

A very haunting location Keith especially in amongst the bamboo forests, lucky Yuki had you there with camera in hand to protect her. Are you still using the Lumix GH5 for videos these days?

For our winter bike tour, which I have almost finished editing, I had major problems with my two action cameras (handlebars and pocket). I have a feeling it's because I used ND filters. In any case, the video is not finished yet even though I have spent hundreds of hours editing because I am trying to fix action camera footage. At the same time I finally replaced my 9 yr old iPhone with a second hand 1 yr old iPhone. Our next holiday in just a few weeks will be hiking not biking! These hikes with the new phone were tests to see if I can just take the phone and not the Panasonic due to weight considerations. I am happy and surprised to say the the iPhone really is a great video camera! So I will sell one of my action cameras (pocket) and just keep one for the handlebars. We just came back from another hike today. Watch out for another short video from the iPhone in a few days. All in all I am amazed how good a phone can be a video camera!

Keith, Not always excellent.... In 4K quality I could see some unfocused, unstable, blur zones on some shots. Not as good as your main video camera... It's below your standard...!!!

@@waddo There's no doubt the mobile phones today are so much better than 5 years ago and even professional Photographers and video photographers also use their phones for test shots or maybe B rolls and many these days use Gimballs for multi axis stability. It's incredible these days that Camera Companies are bringing new model cameras in the shape of Mirrorless DSLRs but emphasing the ability for video as apposed to still shot. They are also becoming very expensive, especially here in Australia.

@@Cycle-Tourer Yes it's true. Unless you put a camera on a a tripod or have a gimbal, there will always be issues. As my main purpose is to enjoy my life and travels, what we have is what we have!
