Hiking Mount Mitchell & Mount Craig

Bears, thunderstorms, rain, heat, humidity, and 20 degree temperature swings made for an interesting and challenging hike up the two tallest mountains east of the Mississippi River.

¡Estupendo! 1) But I have to admit I'm more used to seeing you on a key or in the water. Side note: there appeared to be no trash on the trail and that is wonderful! 2) Who were all those "cheaters" who drove to the top of Mitchell? 3) You made me a bit nervous at times because Idiot Me fell of a trail here in the District of Columbia less than a mile from my place. Bleeding ensued and a neighbor took me to the ER. So I was thinking how far I would roll down the side of one of those mountains if I pulled the same stunt.
