It’s been awhile since my last video. Things got busy and we need to prioritize responsibilities. Being a new Dad is difficult but your everyday life is filled with love and unselfishness. I believe balance is an important aspect of our well being and doing things we love can be i harmony with your responsibilities in life. I took another adventure and this time crossing the neighboring island, Iloilo.
Mt. Napulak is one of the scenic mountains in Igbaras Iloilo. It stands 1239 masl and offers 360 view of beautiful ridges, peaks of Iloilo and Antique. It is popular among adventure enthusiasts in Visayas. It is one of the hiking destinations in Igbaras alongside with Mt. Taripis, Opao , Loboc and Pulang Lupa. This is my 2nd time in this mountain and I’m still in awe of its beauty.
Napulak means nipple in the local language because of the rounded rocks that sits at the very summit.
We traverse the trail from Brgy. Bagay to exit Brgy. Tigbanaba. Total hours of the hiking is 4-6 hours.
This is a Minor climb with a difficulty of Trail class 1-5. It features Tropical rainforest, rock formations and you can see the the world’s largest flower Rafflesia here. The trails are mostly established.
Expenses:
We did a DIY climb. This will vary depends where you come from. We are from Bacolod so I’ll just put here our transportation expenses.

Campsite is near the summit. There are several water sources. Bagay trail has two along the trail. Last water source is 1 hour before the summit. Tigabanaba has only 1 water source.

Kakamis april 2019 umakyat ako jan at one of shortest time from barangay bagay proper 4 hours to summit my nakasabay kmi umaga cla umakyat mountain tiger quarter to 2pm nag simula 5:42 summit na at latag tent bago mag dilim. Naligo sa falls bago bumaba kinabukasan. Pero grabe din ang pagod pag akyat mga 12km din cguro ang haba ng trail. One good memories kasama pinsan ko 2 lng kmi at isang guid shout out pala kay Jboy na guid namin.
