Thanks a lot! No we didn’t, the hikes we did weren’t long enough but we did stop at some to grab a coffee. They’re super cute. In the summer it’s better to book in advance!

Dear Dan Trippin, as a connoisseur of travel and the cinema, thought you may appreciate my comments and feedback: Visual Style - 8/10: your use of camera angles, lighting, framing brought out the brilliant colour palette of the Tatras, but you should have arranged for less grey clouds as this, at times, brought a doomsday mood to the film, detracting from the triumphant aesthetic of the mountains and tone of tale. Narrative Pacing - 9/10: You used pace to effectively build tension, maintain momentum and create emotional resonance. You took us on a journey but would have liked a more dramatic built up to the denouement, and for the denouement to have included some kind of animal-human ravaging situation. Casting and Character Development 10/10: Beyond perfect choice of actors for the roles, think Dan 2.0 gives an Oscar worthy performance and everyone works together to weave a rich and deep tapestry of emotion that takes the audience along for a wild ride. Cinematic Techniques 11/10: Montage sequencing up close footage, cheeky editing (that chain climb sequence!!!!) really enhanced the viewing experience and built suspense around the narrative. Storyline and storytelling Clarity 6/10: While the story starts of clear, the narrative structure gets a bit confused throughout. At the beginning of the film, you really start to think that this will be a tale of how Dan 2.0 becomes the superior Dan, possibly even kills original Dan and takes over his life. Feel you let the audience down in not making this happen. Attention to Detail 10/10: Costumes and set design on point. You really captured the essence of a rag tag team of hikers in the Tatra Mountains. I felt like I was there. Overall impact 75000/10: the film was a masterpiece, the perfect balance of action, suspense, drama and importantly humor. The film tantalizes the senses, and you push the boundaries of genres and achieve the suspension of disbelief...leaving the audience feel like all of this really did happen. Would recommend...would watch again.
