My favorite hike in northern Taiwan! Have you also done Kabao Mtn. (1582m) nearby? The trailhead (~550m) starts in Sanxia, and you pass by the Yunsen Waterfall. Not as obstacle-ridden as Beichatian Mtn. The peak has sweeping views of the Fushan village in Wulai to the south. 8-10hrs round trip.

Yes, you can. There is a campsite around halfway to the summit. You're supposed to get a permit, but I guess some people don't bother.

@@AsiaHikelopedia Not only great but also strenuous. 400m at trailhead and some 1700m at the peak. That would be 1300m up and down in one day, if you try to make it a day trip. I love your videos btw
