Hiking the French Valley - Photographing Patagonia, Episode 6

Hiking the infamous W-Trek hiking route in Torres del Paine is the number one goal for many people coming to the region. It allows visitors to wander deep into the national park and see some of its most amazing landscapes. The W-Trek has become so popular over the years that it is next to impossible to secure accommodation in camps and refugios along the path unless you book months and months in advance.
However, what some people don't realize is that it's possible to hike most of the W-Trek through a series of day hikes. Sure, these are going to be long and demanding hikes, but well worth the effort. And since we couldn't get accommodation along the W-Trek, that's exactly what we did. And our first hike was that to French Valley - a part of the W-Trek that came highly recommended by many people we met during our travel.
