Hiking The Jordan Trail-Dana to Petra

April, 2023. We traveled to Jordan to hike a section of the Jordan trail from Dana Biosphere Reserve to Petra. This 50 mile hike took us through incredible remote mountain landscapes covered in wildflowers and ended in the spectacular ruins of Petra.

We're glad you like our video! We really wanted to show how diverse and beautiful the landscape is in Jordan. We thought it would be mostly desert and rocky terrain, but the plantlife and nature on this trek were incredible. We're even hoping to return someday to complete other portions of the Jordan Trail.

We had to brace ourselves for the crowds of Petra after hiking several days through the remote mountains to get there. But what an incredible way to end a trek!!

Thanks! We knew it would be nice in the spring, but like here in Southern California they had an extended rainy season, so everything was green and alive. Really special to see Jordan like that!
