Hiking the TMB with my son - Part 3: Champex to Tré le Champ

In the summer of 2019, my 14 year old son and I hiked the incredible Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB), camping all the way. This is part 3 and sees us hiking back into France from Switzerland.
For whatever reason, I'll always have a soft spot for Le Peuty and Col de Balme. Maybe for Le Peuty it was the good company, the good food or the change in the weather. Maybe for Col de Balme it was the satisfaction that the 'end is now in sight' or the relief of hot soup and hot chocolate! Either way, not the best scenery of the TMB but some of my favourite memories.
No drones, gimbals etc - it's basically my family video but I thought it was worth sharing and it will definitely give you a sense of this part of the TMB.

What a nice video and great guide! I'm planning my trip during Mont Blanc this summer. I have a small question with your camping site in Col de la Forclaz, do I have to book this campsite before I arrive and do they supply bathing also? Thanks for your helpness.

Hi. Thank you. I do not think you need to book. There is plenty of space. We did not book any campsites before going. At this campsite there is washing/shower but not many.

Thanks. It's the Elixir 2. A compromise between weight and cost but it was great for two.
