Hiking the Tortugas Mountain via the Turtleback Trail - Las Cruces, New Mexico

The Tortugas Mountain via Turtleback Trail is a trail near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Although it is a 1.4 mile loop it is rated as moderate probably because of the 649 ft elevation gain and loose rocks on the trail. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear. It's a nice little workout and you are rewarded with a cool view of the needles at the top.
