Hiking Thru the Bible: The Last of the Book of Judges!

What the world needs is hope and healing one step at a time.
Day 18 on the Palmetto Trail doing the Peak to Prosperity passage, although I did it Prosperity to Peak. It was a great trail with lots of trestles to walk over the last one being the most magnificent. I was able to bike a lot of this trail as it was an old railroad track so that helped a lot! We were able to stay the night at the Peak trailhead which had picnic tables! This Palmetto does not have a lot of camping spot, but oh my there were a ton of them on this passage.
The last few chapters of Judges tell 2 horrific stories. One about the tribe of Dan who had failed to take out the inhabitants of its territory and they established an idolatrous shrine. The 2nd story is about the tribe of Benjamin that was almost destroyed when it fought a civil war to protect some of its members who had raped a woman to death. There is no good morals to come out of either of these stories. The only lesson one can get is to please follow God with your whole heart, or else you will be sucked into sin. Oh how long bearing God is with His people!

You sure got to cross a good many trestles! It’s just so beautiful there! You were cute about the snake and I’m surprised you even stood there long enough to video it! I also don’t know how you managed the heat. And the footage while riding your bike was honestly not bad for riding single handed! 😊
