The Aussie bush is the hardest thing to photograph. Its so lovely to be in, but those massive shadows and highlights, and general 'business' of the bush has always made it hard for me to find classic compositions. Great vlog mate, I've always wanted to hike to that crash! Merry Christmas, can't wait to see what 2023 brings for you!

Thanks heaps Pete! It is a bit steep in parts, but otherwise not too bad! Dense forest, but the trail is easy to follow in most parts. Yeah, the Aussie bush is definitely challenging to photograph! I totally hear ya there!! I can't wait for 2023! The longest days of summer are behind us now, so bring on more sunrises!!

I think that was a Stephens Banded Snake but still highly venomous. A very popular walk.

Thanks mate, I think you might be right! A popular walk, but I had it to myself :)

Could you explain how you do long exposures on the G617. I understand you use the cable release on the lens itself, but after taking the shot, how do you advance the film? (The film wind lever is locked if you don’t use the main shutter button iirc)

Thanks for the comment Richard :) Yes, you are correct in remembering that the film advance lever is locked after firing the from the lens. All you need to do to unlock it and advance the film is press the shutter release button on top of the camera after the exposure :)
