yeah i camped at robert treman grounds last summer & went on a hike at watkins glen, & it was packed. thanks for the reminder & tip. i'm camping at watkins glen in a few weeks.i 'll hike the full trail & check out the town, i can't wait. love me a rueben, that looked crunchy good. great video, superb photography.

I really enjoyed your video. Watkins Glen State Park looks amazing. I wish I discovered this earlier when I was much younger. I’m now in my late 60’s with knee issues and probably couldn’t handle all of the stairs. Thanks for taking me on your journey. What a remarkable place.

I live a few miles from Watkins and me and my hubby and kids walked this almost every year. I haven't done this for several years. At almost 60 now, i don't think I could do it.

Hey cool! Watkins Glen is my hometown and the park entrance is just a few blocks from my home and your village footage was mostly right around our block. lol I actually worked at The Colonial Motel (pre-creamery years) as their hired cleaner. Glad you enjoyed it here! We certainly are making a presence “on the map” as a destination. My advice to people would be: 1) come midweek if you are able and 2) try and come when everyone else is less likely to. Heavy tourist weekends/crowds rob a lot from the experience, especially hiking the gorge trail and getting through towns, going out to eat etc. Cheers!
