Let's get one thing straight, nour never mentioned that she is going to stop working or that she has nothing to offer and wants a man to "support her". Asma called Khatab back to be on the show to get more mileage from the show and now hints that Nour wanted fame and that's why she used Mido. Asma and Nour's reactions were exactly the same and maybe Asma felt anxious as she said, couldn't Nour feel the same way. The production definitely wanted to have Nour on the show as she was pretty different from the rest. Its sad that Hikmat is kinda defending the men indirectly saying that Nour played them well. You could clearly see how distressed she was from the bullying. Asma came here on this podcast to save her bully friends. If she was an empowered woman, she would have defended Nour when she was being attacked like the other girls who stopped the men. Karma is totally the best person on the show and love how she stood her ground when it came to Ammar and Nour. Asma is a shallow capitalist feminist who only thinks feminism is about getting a job and providing for yourself. The basic tenet of feminism is to stand up against violence (verbal and physical) against women. Every time she accepted that the guys were nasty to Nour, there was a "But" and "However" and it was like she was justifying how the men said what they said because of Nour's actions. People are supporting Nour coz it was hard to watch what happened and even the host of the show was disgusted by it and stopped the bullying. I don't think either of you understand the meaning of "women empowerment" and "feminism". All it means is that women should have the opportunity to choose the life they want for themselves, because historically, women didn't have that choice. I actually consider Nour to be more of a feminist than Asma, because not only is Nour educated and working, but she also perceives herself as a princess who should be pampered and taken care of. I agree with Asma in regards to her saying that physical fitness and financial success in a man reflect much deeper positive attributes that are desirable & important for high value women. I’ve never heard a woman who shares this perspective with me so that was refreshing to hear.
