Looks very nice! Do you know if they make their own sensors or use Infiray?
@FesZElectronics3 жыл бұрын
They do have 12um and 17um detectors in their portfolio of products, though I would have to ask them to be sure if the sensors are of their own production or from a third party.
@FesZElectronics3 жыл бұрын
They confirmed that the sensors are made by their own team, not bought from third parties.

Looks like an amazing IR cam! Great video. The first unboxing video where I saw someone going into the manual and showing. Everyone says it's important to read and throws it away.

Hi! A very valuable and detailed review may also be useful for a price range and a store. Personally, I would be interested in measuring the thermal efficiency of my house. Thank you very much for your efforts to put logic into everything!

Does the app for your phone have the same features as the computer app? For pin pointing temperatures in post? If so thats awesome i might just get this one

I once had a board full of 7400 series logic that was just drawing maximum current when given power - I traced down the fault by powering it for a few seconds then tracing the power tracks along the PCB with my finger to follow the heat whenever it branched, until I found that one of the decoupling capacitors on one of the logic chips had developed a short! An IR camera would have been a great time saver then :-)
@FesZElectronics3 жыл бұрын
In such a case a IR camera can be invaluable especially with todays electronics - components can get really small and bunched up together, so its not always clear which one is the source of heat.

Would you be willing to share a picture that you took in the description? I would like to know the radiometric data format of the pictures. Thank you.

It may have a 25Hz display refresh, but unless they don't want to sell to USA, they'll have to limit the update rate of the sensor to 9Hz. No units above that can be imported or exported to/from USA.

What camera can I use to see mice in the walls. I bought this one but it shows everything red when I view the walls
@cmuller14413 жыл бұрын
USA limits refresh rate to 9Hz so it can't be used in conjunction with a weapon for aiming... (Export restrictions... In fact it's a little bit more complicated, if you are in a friend country and do the paperwork you can get better)

I was very excited to see this video because I am looking to buy a thermal camera. This looks like an good unit, but it is missing an important specification; minimum focusing distance. I could not find this info on their website. Their specification documents don't download. Is this specification included with the paperwork that came with your unit. This unit is fairly new, first appearing about March 2021, the B10 first appearing about September 2021, there may be initial bugs. The warranty is good; 3 Years for the Entire Device /10 Years for the Sensor. I could not find where to return units for warranty, but it seems to be China, is this economical?
@FesZElectronics3 жыл бұрын
The manual that you get in the package is the quick starter guide (HIKMICRO_B Series_QSG available on the website); I'm not sure why the online manual does not work but I found on a different website that the minimum focus distance is 0.3m; I'm not sure what to say about warranty, I guess here the manufacturer could tell you more...

@@FesZElectronics For clarification, the online user manuals are available, but the online "HIKMICRO_B Series_B1L_Specification" results in a "404 Not Found".

Can the camera level and span range be manually adjusted?
@FesZElectronics2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you have the option to set 2 large intervals (-20/150C & 100/550C), but you also you can set fixed max and min (or Auto) temperatures in the menu.

One common technique that can also be used is to apply non-conductive paint that has a well known emissivity coefficient, >0.95 preferably. This coupled with a well controlled environment will reduce much of the errors that you get when measuring a standard board.

Has anyone figured out how the "Cast Screen" works? The manual lost me at "HIKMICRO Analyzer" "In the live view interface,...". I've installed the analizer, but I'm not seeing a live view interface.
@FesZElectronics2 жыл бұрын
To cast the screen onto a PC, I used a program called "PotPlayer"; there under "device" select "Webcam"; choose "UVC camera"; select MJPG640x480" format; finally press Ctrl+J tp live view.
