The camera gives good clear images, now you will be alerted when dogs and pigs are at the bait site from the time stamp without going out to the camera first.

Stock up on batteries 🤦‍♂️ changing them every 3 weeks here in the UK - solar panel not much use here 😂 Unit works well though 👌 Nice vid 👍

You can get non rechargeable AA lithium batteries Energizer brand that are expensive but supposed to last a very long time in the camera.

Great video wonder if you could change Sim cards to a different plan like an aldi $20 plan. Love the Ruger American I think when I was shopping and they showed me the 243 n 22 in Ruger American I got them because heard so much good things about them

@@Kearnesy I’m not sure. It might do but it would probably still cost as much as it’s all going through the app and part of the cost is cloud storage as well. And it is actually cheaper to pay $209 for a year with the provided sim than 12 months of $20 with an aldi sim. Yes the Ruger Americans are great reliable rifles that just work. 👌

Having real trouble connecting my M15 into the 4G signal. I took it back to my retailer and another camera there didn't connect either! Not sure if there are issues with the 'upgraded' 4G signals

I haven’t had any issues with mine connecting to the 4G and the phone service out here is pretty patchy at the best of times. But in town lately it’s been almost nonexistent for some reason. If your phone has got a bar or two of signal it should be fine for the camera.

Hi Mate, just bought the Hikmicro Trail Camera and solar panel, after I watched your video. It hasn’t arrived yet. But watching other videos and reviews I’m confused about what batteries to run. Does the solar panel have an internal battery? If it does, then does it use that first and switch to the camera batteries once the panel battery is flat? If I run rechargeable batteries in the camera, will the solar panel charge them? What batteries do you use? Sorry for the million questions but I don’t know anyone else who has one. Regards Anthony

@@anthonypuddicombe3152 hey mate. Yes you are correct. The solar panel has a built in battery and you can run the camera just off that alone but it’s optional to have back up AA batteries in for that odd occasion that the solar ones go flat in bad weather and it will switch to the internal only if the solar panel has gone flat or somehow gets disconnected. It is best to turn off real time updates in the settings when you get it as it will constantly be searching for commands from your phone and flattens the batteries very quickly. I leave mine to just check every 0.5 hours. It will still send pictures to the app on your device when the camera is triggered but isn’t always searching for updated commands. You can buy non rechargeable lithium AA batteries that last much longer than standard Duracell Batteries. The brand I have are Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries. They cost a bit more but last a long time. No worries about the questions. Happy to help. Let me know how you go or if you have any more questions.
