When morticing it’s quick if you drop the blade in rather than locking it off!

What do you mean by that matty ? Just hold the router at required depth and don't lock it off ? Like a plunge cut ? Like the sound of that I'll give it a go 👍

@@tkfinstallationskitchenfit1002 the reason I ask is it says 12mm and 30 mm bush on the jig
@tkfinstallationskitchenfit1002

@@Rikmayall200 it's definitely a 30mm Bush and I used 12.7 mm cutters 100% , and it all fitted OK, but I'll double check tomorrow for you 👍

So far so good and I'm using it every week to do worktops , the only thing I'm finding awkward is the plunge lock , but I think it's just a case of I've been using a trend for 20 plus years lol

@@raymondpiper8294 Henry worked fine , just as powerful as festool but I've just got the cordless plunge saw so it all works on Bluetooth now , the extraction kicks in when you press the trigger

@@tkfinstallationskitchenfit1002 sorry to go on like a stalker lol, but ive just set up henry with the dewalt cordless trimmer & plunge router , just opened box and played , henry works a treat as you say . i will get the dewalt m class extractor , it has a wireless on off switch you can wear like a wrist watch . Shame dewalt havent got bluetooth like makita . I am starting a screwfix shop fit in Portsmouth , working away from my home near Folkestone . I saw hikoki and metabo have bought out a cordless half inch router. I will have 130k as divorce settlement from house sale , im going to go mental on tools lol, probably spend 10k , sad to split up after 30yrs but i will get my dream van and set up . Sorry to babble mate . By the way i bought the trend skeleton hinge jig , although i still have my 110v makita routers , im pleased with the dewalt cordless . Ive had the trent lock jig for years great bit of kit . Best regards ......Ray .

Why not first drill out bulk of material and then clean up with a router
@tkfinstallationskitchenfit1002
@tkfinstallationskitchenfit1002 3 жыл бұрын
Hi , usually that's how I do all my locks, but I wanted to see how good the router was and I it could handle it ..... after doing a few doors now I won't be drilling again as in my opinion this is a lot quicker 👍
