Thanks for the in depth description of the features of this camera. Have you noticed that the AcuSense cameras are not as sensitve on Motion Detection compared to a Darkfighter or for that matter any other normal camera?

Hi and thanks for the comment, actually the new cameras with Acusense technology have motion detection 2.0 which allows for more configuration but also more stability , so we see more positive results compared to the older models

Wow the content from you guys ;) Curious looking for a dome or turret that can pan but also at least recognize number plates on a quiet street that is lit by a single street light. Any options to consider or must go for bullet and ANPR that are i see quite costly? and then add a turret on top also for pan option? (more $$) ;(

we really appreciate your kind comments, if ANPR is a real must I would use the dedicated ANPR , the issue is we set these up very different with the image settings over a standard camera, and they won’t then perform the same, so I would use 2 separate cameras, we do have a PTZ that does ANPR and PTZ etc. but the cost will be a lot more than the 2 cameras as you have suggested.

Hi Dave, I have an unrelated question and was hoping you could help. Does the DS-9664NI-I8 work with face capture and search by face? I can't seem to get any of my Acusense 2.0 or ColorVu 2.0 cameras quite properly configured. I can do an "all events" picture search on the NVR and see the face capture images, but no way to do a smart search for them. Thank you!!

So for anyone wondering, The DS-9664NI-I8 does not support search by picture. While the NVR can receive the captured face photos from cameras, but it doesn't allow you to search through them explicitly, you must look through all picture captures. To get search by photo functionality, you need a NVR with iDS beginning that also supports search by picture. Those iDS NVR's also include a SSD so that the photos are searched much quicker than from a HDD. Also, the smart search function does not seem to be available from web browser. On the DS-9664NI-I8, I have only been able to do a proper smart search(event search, alarm search), from the NVR itself locally.

I am afraid I am the reason the is firmware dated 210628 on this camera. Companies/end-users are advised to use the Global firmware portal for now which mostly has updated firmware on it, whereas regional portals don't quite yet. More information about this will be made public shortly.

Motion detection used to give me a lot of false alarms. I think it conflicted with the motion sensing solar lights that detected flies and dust particles. Until I switched to line crossing and intrusion.

I experienced the same as you. The other way to overcome the situation is to set the threshold to minimum.

Hello, I have a question. The data sheet for the surveillance camera says >. Does this mean that the recordings from the surveillance camera are immediately saved encrypted on the SD card?

Hi. How can you access "Remote Configuration-Advanced Function" with ivms4200 software? When selecting I see a Remote configuration page with all settings(including hidden from Basic settings) a spinning circle for about 8 seconds and then this page turns to Storage settings only. My DS-2CD2047G2-L in not connected to NVR but on my home router
